Type 2 Diabetes Adult Onset
Type 2 Diabetes or also called adult onset diabetes is a condition that requires immediate care if complications are to be reduced or avoided. Care of type 2 diabetes extends life expectancy greatly for the patient. Diabetes in general can affect the body's ability to circulate blood. This can lead to issues such as amputation. Diabetics can also develop problems with major organs. Type two diabetes is the most common form of diabetes. The frequency of this category of diabetes exists in all cultures and backgrounds. Generally the cause for type two diabetes stems from a combination of genetics and bad eating habits or obesity. It generally develops in adults over 35 years of age. While type 2 diabetes has commonly affected adults it is being seen in young adults and even children. The root cause for these cases is generally due to lack of exercise, poor diet and obesity. The insulin levels with type 2 diabetics are either low or the insulin is not being properly used by the body. This will produce hyperglycemia due to an error in the body's insulin production. The insulin creating cells in the pancreas are very delicate and the body does not renew them. Once they are tainted or damaged either by immune reaction or fatigue they do not regenerate. Thus the condition of diabetes forms. Type 2 diabetes results generally from fatigue. Once those insulin creating cells are damaged the effectiveness of regulating sugars in the body are vastly altered. Outside assistance for the diabetic becomes necessary. Type 2 diabetics can also suffer from low blood sugar. Generally this is associated with those who are on insulin injection therapy. I personally have not heard of many cases of low blood sugar with type 2 diabetics who are controlling their diabetes with medication or pills. The treatment methods for type two diabetes are very common. Generally diet and exercise are first tested to see if the adult onset diabetes can be controlled. If not, doctors will look to oral medication for treatment. As type 2 diabetes progresses insulin injections may become necessary especially as the patient ages. The Causes And Mechanisms Of Diabetes Type 2 Each case for type 2 diabetes can be different in resulting causes. Here are some common reasons for the development of type 2 diabetes. * Genetics, it’s in your family history Most can minimize their chances of type 2 diabetes by a good diet and exercise plan.
